About Workday

Workday Foundation.

The Workday Foundation was established with a Workday stock grant in 2013 to make a difference in our communities and support Workday employees in their charitable investments of time and money. Our mission is to transform lives by creating career pathways that unleash human potential.

Since innovation is a cornerstone of Workday’s heritage and core values, it is a natural course that our Foundation also focuses on innovation. We look for organizations that are using innovative solutions to break the cycle of poverty by creating lasting economic security through meaningful employment. We are especially interested in partnering with organizations located near Workday offices globally, with opportunities for deep employee engagement.

Impact grants.

Impact grants are the Workday Foundation’s primary tool for making a real difference and transformational impact. The Foundation invests in innovative organizations that prepare people of all ages for careers in tech. These grants involve significant dollars, potential multiyear commitments, deep employee involvement, and tight collaboration with grantees. We fund things such as coding camps for girls and technical training for veterans. While we’re eager to learn about new initiatives and innovative programs, we are not accepting unsolicited proposals at this time. If your organization is doing innovative programs in the area of workforce development, please send no more than one page describing your work to: foundation@workday.com. If we think there is a fit, we will contact you with a request for further information.

Community impact.

We are the change we want to see in the world! Paying it forward is a central part of Workday’s DNA. Our core values drive Workday employees to serve our communities. By encouraging Workday employees to engage in skills-based volunteer service, we help organizations have a greater impact in our local and global communities.
