TruGreen partnered with Workday Paradox to transform its career site, aiming to enhance its employer brand and attract ideal candidates. By implementing the Workday Paradox Candidate Experience Agent, TruGreen now offers a streamlined, AI-powered experience that effectively converts best-fit candidates.

The company now utilizes Trudy, their 24/7 AI agent, to automate the early stages of the hiring process. Trudy is accessible via a widget on TruGreen’s career site and can answer questions about the company, match candidates with suitable jobs, and initiate the application process—all without requiring the candidate to leave the initial page.

Through a brief exchange of messages, Trudy screens candidates to determine minimum qualifications with simple, direct questions.This process clearly sets expectations for the job and encourages suitable candidates to apply. Following the application,Trudy sends candidates available interview slots.This allows top frontline talent to be scheduled for interviews with zero administrative effort from TruGreen’s recruiters. As a result, TruGreen significantly reduced its time-to-schedule from seven days down to just one.

TruGreen already had a powerful candidate management platform in Workday Recruiting, providing a strong foundation for their hiring processes. And their new career site integrates directly with Workday Recruiting, leveraging changes to open job requisitions onto the site’s design instantly. With the conversational application process, candidates aren’t asked to create a login just to apply—they just have a chat with Trudy and their information is seamlessly stored in Workday Recruiting. TruGreen’s recruiters can submit actions in Workday for Trudy to automate, meaning an updated tech stack with minimal change management.
