Biocodex is an international pharmaceutical company with French roots and a strong family-owned DNA. With approximately 1,800 employees across 17 subsidiaries, the group combines the scale of a global organization with the agility of a mid-sized company. This unique culture, bringing together long-tenured employees and newer generations, is a key driver of Biocodex’s adaptability and attractiveness. In a context of sustained double-digit growth and ongoing international expansion, Biocodex set out to further structure its HR practices while preserving the values that define its identity: agility, proximity, and trust.
Structuring historically informal HR practices.
Historically, Biocodex was not a highly process-driven organization from an HR perspective. While many practices were effective, they were not always easy to formalize or transmit as the company grew and welcomed new employees across geographies. This created challenges around consistency, data reliability, and group-wide decision-making.
To support its transformation, Biocodex selected Workday to bring greater structure, formalization, and data quality to its HR practices, without compromising its culture.
Deploying a unified HR platform to support growth.
Workday Human Capital Management enabled Biocodex to unify core HR processes and ensure consistent cycles for all employees, regardless of country, site, or role. HR teams now benefit from consolidated workforce visibility, supporting performance reviews, compensation cycles, and employee movements across the group.
Workday Recruiting helped professionalize candidate management, improve follow-up, and align HR teams and managers around shared hiring practices, strengthening the overall candidate experience.
Strengthening engagement and trust through employee listening.
With Workday Peakon Employee Voice, Biocodex structured its employee listening approach at group level. The solution supports multilingual engagement surveys, guarantees anonymity, and enables year-over-year comparisons as well as benchmarking. Insights from these surveys directly inform Biocodex’s People Roadmap and drive both global and local action plans.
This approach has helped identify priorities such as wellbeing, health, and career development, and has enabled the organization to turn previous areas of concern into strengths over time.
We don’t do HR for HR’s sake. We do HR to serve the group’s strategy and to make sure our people feel good working at Biocodex.

Workday provides a solid foundation to support Biocodex’s long-term ambitions, enabling HR to continue evolving in line with the company’s growth, culture, and future workforce needs.
