Arabelle Solutions embarked on a major transformation as it became a fully independent company by separating from the General Electric group. With the opportunity to design its own HR ecosystem from the ground up, the company set out to simplify and modernize the way it supports its people. In partnership with Mercer, Arabelle reimagined its entire HR landscape, replacing complexity with clarity and laying the digital foundations for a more agile and innovative future.
Simplifying complexity to create a unified HR experience.
As Arabelle Solutions transitioned into a new independent organization, its HR landscape reflected years of inherited processes and disconnected tools. To build the right foundation for growth, the company chose to start fresh. With Workday as its central hub, Arabelle Solutions brought together more than 15 legacy systems into 1 flexible environment, adapting the platform to reflect its new scale, footprint, and business reality. By rethinking existing processes and configurations, the company reduced manual work, minimized maintenance efforts, and empowered employees and managers to focus on what truly creates value for the business. To ensure the redesigned system truly reflected Arabelle Solutions’ needs, the team began by asking employees and managers what mattered most to them. These insights helped guide decisions on where to invest, what to simplify, and how to reshape key processes. This user-driven approach ensured the new Workday configuration aligned with the company’s emerging culture and day-to-day realities.
We wanted Workday to reflect who we are today: a smaller, more diverse company with new challenges and ambitions. Adapting the system to our new reality has been key to making it truly ours.

Empowering employees with a seamless HR experience.
A key goal for Arabelle Solutions was to make HR support effortless for its people. By bringing HR services, knowledge, and assistance together in one place, the company transformed the way employees and managers interact with HR. Workday Help now serves as a single access point where users can find policies, ask questions, or raise requests directly within the system. Automated workflows, self-service documents, and simplified approval chains save time for HR teams, allowing them to focus on people rather than processes. Early feedback has been very positive, with the new absence and time modules praised for their ease of use and intuitive design.
A flexible, transparent partnership that enabled true co-construction.
Mercer played a central role in ensuring Arabelle Solutions’ HR transformation was both smooth and sustainable. From day one, the partnership was built on flexibility, transparency, and a shared understanding of Arabelle’s unique context as a newly independent organization. Together, the teams adapted plans when business constraints required it, embracing a “stop-and-go” approach that balanced speed with absorption and readiness. Mercer’s technical and functional expertise guided the redesign of Workday, and Mercer’s ability to listen, adapt, and co-construct solutions turned a complex transition into a confident, collaborative journey.
Caring sometimes means saying yes, and other times saying no. Our role was to stay flexible, listen closely, and adapt our pace so Arabelle Solutions could build its autonomy with confidence.

Building a future-ready organization with AI and skills at the core.
With its new HR foundation in place, Arabelle Solutions is already looking ahead to the next stage of its transformation. The company sees AI and skills as essential to supporting its long-term strategy, particularly in an industry facing increasing shortages of specialized talent.
Workday Assistant, now live across the organization, marks the first step in Arabelle’s broader AI journey, helping employees access information more easily while familiarizing teams with new digital behaviors.
Looking forward, Arabelle is exploring how AI can help enhance strategic workforce planning, support talent acquisition, and strengthen competency management. Together with Mercer’s expertise, the company is preparing to harness new capabilities that will help address future workforce challenges and continue its evolution as an agile, innovative organization. As Arabelle’s Senior HR Projects, Systems and Analytics Estelle Auriat says, “Now that our new Workday is live, we’re looking at how AI and skills can support the next chapter. In our industry, finding the right talent is a real challenge, and these capabilities will be key to shaping our future.”
