Recruitment Site Cookie Notice

Effective: November 3, 2021

This Recruitment Site Cookie Notice (“Cookie Notice”) explains how Workday, Inc. and its affiliates (“Workday,” “we,” “us,” and “ours”) use cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to provide the service on the Workday Recruitment Site (“Career Site,” “Site”).

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your device when you visit websites. Website owners can use Cookies for a variety of reasons, including enabling their sites to work (or work more efficiently), providing personalized content and advertising, and creating analytics.

Cookies set by the site owner (in this case, Workday) are called “first-party Cookies.” Only the site owner can access the first-party Cookies it sets. Cookies set by parties other than the site owner are called “third-party Cookies.” Third-party Cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (such as advertising, interactive content, and social sharing). The parties that set these third-party Cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the site in question and also when it visits other digital properties that have partnered with them.

What about other tracking technologies?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Career Site. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Site to another, to deliver or communicate with Cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Site from a third-party website, and to improve site performance. In many instances, these technologies rely on cookies to function properly, and so declining Cookies will often impair their functioning.

What Cookies do we use on the Workday Career Site?

Most Cookies that we use on the Career Site are strictly necessary for the pages to function properly. We also use Cookies to provide the best possible experience on our Site and to collect statistics to optimize Site functionality. For example, Workday has deployed Google Analytics Cookies for traffic analysis and a tracking pixel for tracking traffic from a number of key recruitment sites. Workday also enables candidates to apply with their LinkedIn profile.
