Recruitment Site Cookie Notice

Effective: October 31, 2023

This Recruitment Cookie Notice explains how Workday, a group of companies with offices all over the world  uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to support its own recruitment activities using the Workday Recruiting platform (“Platform”). It explains what Cookies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control their use.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website, mobile application, or other digital properties . Digital property owners can use Cookies for a variety of reasons, that can include enabling their digital properties to operate effectively, providing personalized content and advertising, and creating analytics.

Cookies set by the property owner (in this case, Workday) are called “first-party cookies.”  Only the property owner can access the first-party cookies it sets.  Cookies set by parties other than the property owner are called “third-party cookies.”  Third-party cookies enable thirdparty features or functionality to be provided on or through the digital property (such as interactive content and social sharing).  The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the property in question and also when it visits other digital properties that have partnered with them.

What Cookies do we use on the Workday Recruiting Platform?

When you access the Platform, we use several types of first-party and third-party Cookies to deliver the service. “Essential Cookies” are required for technical reasons that are strictly necessary for our Platform to operate. “Functional Cookies” enable certain optional features within the Platform.

We use both session-based and persistent Cookies on our Platform. Session-based Cookies exist only during a single session and disappear from your device when you close your browser or turn off the device. Persistent Cookies remain on your device after you close your browser or turn your device off and will remain for the specified duration.

Workday also uses tracking pixels to measure the volume of applications that result from traffic forwarded from a select number of external third-party recruitment sites.
