Gerrit Kazmaier

Gerrit Kazmaier is president of product and technology at Workday. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, delivery, infrastructure, and security of the company’s platform, as well as its entire suite of solutions and AI agents.

Prior to joining Workday, Gerrit served as vice president and general manager of data and analytics at Google Cloud for nearly four years. He led Google Cloud’s data analytics and business objects (BI) business, overseeing services such as Google BigQuery, Looker, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Dataplex. During his tenure, he focused on the AI transformation of Google Cloud’s analytics portfolio, delivering generative AI services such as conversational analytics, high accuracy NL2SQL, multi-modal analytics, and automated insights. He also led the transformation of Google’s database and data analytics services to a unified data cloud.

Gerrit’s career also includes over 11 years at SAP, where he rose to president, leading the company’s database (SAP HANA and Sybase), analytics, BI, and enterprise performance management business. During his tenure he led the cloud transformation of these products and created others such as SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA Cloud.

He began his career at SAP in 2009 as a developer.

Gerrit holds a diploma in business informatics from the University of Applied Science Constance in Germany.
