Chris Ernst is chief learning officer at Workday. He’s responsible for leading Workday’s talent strategy, including performance and talent enablement, leadership effectiveness, organisation development and employee experience, and using Workday’s technology to optimise these internal programmes.
Before joining Workday, Chris served as the global head of people and organisation potential at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Chris also served as vice president of leadership and organisation effectiveness at Juniper Networks and held leadership roles at the Center for Creative Leadership.
Chris holds a doctorate in industrial and organisational psychology from North Carolina State University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from James Madison University. He’s also authored a book called “Boundary Spanning Leadership: Six Practices for Solving Problems, Driving Innovation, and Transforming Organizations”.
