Dave is an accomplished executive and visionary in the business management, public sector, and higher education software industries. Prior to Workday, Dave founded PeopleSoft in 1987 and served as the company’s CEO and board chairman. PeopleSoft grew to be the world’s second-largest ERP application software company before being acquired in 2005. Other companies Dave launched include Integral Systems, Business Software and Information Associates.
Dave received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Cornell University, and he and his family are the benefactors behind Duffield Hall, a nanoscale science and engineering facility at Cornell. They also support a companion animal welfare foundation, Maddie’s Fund, which devotes its resources to helping to create a no-kill nation.
In addition to his role at Workday, Aneel serves on the boards of Intel, Cloudera, Okta, and Pure Storage. He is also an advisory partner at Greylock, a leading venture capital firm that he has been associated with since 1999. Before co-founding Workday in 2005, Aneel held a number of leadership positions at PeopleSoft, including senior vice president responsible for product strategy, business development and marketing, and vice chairman of the board.
Aneel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and economics from Brown University. He is a Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
Prior to joining Workday in 2009, Mike was a partner at Greylock Partners, where he focused on the next generation of enterprise technologies. Before Greylock, Mike served for five years as chairman and CEO at PolyServe, a storage virtualisation software company that was sold to Hewlett-Packard under Mike’s leadership in 2007. Mike began a nine-year career at PeopleSoft starting in 1993, where he held various general management and sales management roles, including senior vice president of North American sales. Mike has served on the board of directors of Code42 since 2014.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.
Prior to joining Workday as chief financial officer in June 2012, Mark served as co-president and chief financial officer at VMware, a global leader in virtualisation and cloud infrastructure. During his five years at VMware, Mark led the company’s IPO and helped to build the finance and business operations infrastructure as the company scaled to become a large enterprise software provider.
From 2000 to 2007, Mark was senior vice president and chief accounting officer at Amazon.com. Mark also spent 10 years as a partner at Deloitte, where he focused on technology companies and multinational project and engagement management. Mark has served on the board of directors for Trimble Navigation since 2010.
Mark graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration from Minnesota State University.
Phil has more than 20 years’ experience in the enterprise software industry, most of which has been in executive management and leading customer-focused field operations. Prior to joining Workday, Phil served as president and chief operating officer at Tidemark Systems. Before Tidemark, he was president and CEO at OutlookSoft. Phil also previously served as co-president at PeopleSoft and held senior leadership positions at TriNet and Tesseract.
Phil holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration from Bradley University, and is currently a member of the university’s board of trustees.
Robynne joined Workday in 2012 as chief accounting officer, bringing more than 25 years of corporate finance and accounting experience to the role. Prior to joining Workday, Robynne was chief accounting officer and corporate controller at VMware, where she was responsible for accounting operations, property, and facilities. Before VMware, Robynne served as senior vice president and chief accounting officer at VeriSign and assistant controller at Oracle. She also held senior finance roles at Visa, General Electric, and Ford.
Robynne holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Claremont McKenna College.
Prior to joining Workday, Ashley served as CHRO and executive vice president at Polycom. Before Polycom, she was senior vice president of human resources, corporate communications, and environmental health and safety for the Tissue Diagnostics division at F. Hoffmann-La Roche. Ashley has also previously served as CHRO at Ventana Medical Systems and divisional vice president of human resources at The Home Depot from 2005 to 2007.
Ashley holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a master’s degree in human resource development from Georgia State University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University.
Stan was one of Workday’s first employees, joining the company in 2005. Prior to Workday, Stan spent 10 years at PeopleSoft in a number of key leadership roles, including head of the products and technology organisation that included more than 4,000 employees. He was also manager of tools development, general manager of financial applications, general manager of customer relationship management systems and was responsible for the initial release of PeopleSoft’s internet architecture. Prior to PeopleSoft, Stan spent 10 years with ASK Computer Systems, including management of ASK’s VAX product line.
Stan holds both a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University.
Prior to joining Workday, Diana was senior vice president and CIO at Amgen, where she spent 12 years applying leading-edge analytics and information technology (IT) to further the company’s innovation and market position. Before Amgen, Diana served in a variety of IT leadership roles at Eli Lilly and Company.
During her nearly three decades of experience, Diana has been an active leader in various trade, technology, and governmental organisations and in 2015, was recognised as one of the "Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology" by the National Diversity Council.
Diana holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Purdue University.
Since joining Workday in 2008, Christine has served in a variety of marketing and communications leadership positions, most recently as senior vice president of marketing. Previously, she served as vice president of corporate communications responsible for brand and advertising, public relations, analyst relations, customer marketing and sales references. Prior to Workday, Christine served as a technology practice leader for global communications firm Porter Novelli and later founded her own public relations consultancy, where she provided strategy and support to companies including Workday, Netflix, Qualcomm, and Rearden Commerce. Christine started her career at PeopleSoft, and spent five years on the public relations team.
Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Chico.
Prior to joining Workday in 2007, Jim was chief operating officer at Evolve Software where he was responsible for sales, marketing, product development, and services. Before Evolve, Jim held various management and senior management positions at PeopleSoft. During his eight years at PeopleSoft, Jim launched the company’s European operations, created the professional services organisation, and was ultimately responsible for approximately one third of the company’s total revenue. Jim began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Chico.
Petros was one of Workday’s first employees, joining the company in 2005. Prior to Workday, Petros was a general manager and group vice president at PeopleSoft, where he was responsible for application development tools and technologies. Petros was at PeopleSoft for nine years, having joined the company after he founded and served as CEO at InfoSoft, an exclusive PeopleSoft distributor in southern Europe. Early in his career, Petros worked in the consulting and international field operations groups at Dun & Bradstreet Software, where he had global responsibility for presales, training, implementation, and customer support.
Petros holds a master’s degree in information management from Lancaster University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing engineering from Huddersfield University.
Prior to joining Workday in 2010, Mike was CEO at Potenco, a green energy start-up. Before Potenco, Mike was CEO at TradePoint Solutions, a provider of SaaS-based retail promotion management applications. Mike led TradePoint from delivery of a successful product prototype to the sale of the company to DemandTec in 2006. Preceding TradePoint, Mike was at PeopleSoft for seven years in various leadership roles, including vice president and general manager of supply chain management. Mike began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), specialising in software strategy, product planning, development, and customer support.
Mike holds a bachelor of science degree in business from the University of Colorado. He is also certified in planning and inventory management and resource management by the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
Jim has more than 20 years’ experience as a strategic legal executive for leading technology companies. Before joining Workday in 2011, Jim served for four years as senior vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel at Orbitz Worldwide. Jim managed Orbitz’s legal and government affairs departments as well as its shared services, including corporate communications, human resources, procurement, security, and compliance. From 2005 to 2007, Jim served as senior vice president and general counsel at Lenovo Group. Prior to Lenovo, Jim was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at PeopleSoft, where he served as a key adviser to the board of directors leading up to its acquisition in 2005. Before PeopleSoft, Jim was vice president and deputy general counsel for Hewlett-Packard and Compaq Computer Corp., where he managed both companies’ international legal operations. Jim started his career in technology with Digital Equipment, where he was responsible for litigation, compliance, and antitrust activities.
Jim holds a Juris Doctor degree and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Michigan, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University.
