- Create new organizations (e.g., a new business site) or reorganize one organization type (e.g., supervisory reporting relationships) without modifying other organization types (e.g., cost centers)
- Plan for future reorganizations that will take effect automatically on a specified date
- View organizations as of a specified date—past, present, or future
- Workday empowers HR departments to manage reorganizations without relying on IT, enabling changes to be recorded when they actually happen. This also reduces the need for back-dated transactions to correct for delays in recording the reorganization
Segment Report Data by Organization Type
- Reports can be run for a specific organization type with data segmented by organization. For example, you can view spend by supervisory organization (manager), spend by cost center, or spend by business site
Secure Organizational Data Access
- Administrators can be granted access by individual organizations and only see information within those organizations
- Organizational roles (e.g., manager, HR partner, compensation partner, etc.) can be assigned to different users for each organization. Persons assigned to an organization role can only access those organizations within their role responsibilities
