Workday and Wellesley College

Wellesley College was founded in 1870 by Henry and Pauline Durant, who were passionate about creating opportunities for women to pursue higher education. With over 2,350 undergraduate students and 1,200 faculty and staff, Wellesley College offers more than 50 majors in a range of disciplines, educating women for leadership and encouraging every student to make a meaningful contribution to the world.

The College’s international reach and its dynamic approach to the liberal arts provide a rich environment in which leaders can develop and flourish. The student body hails from over 80 countries and represents a vibrant collection of cultures, experiences, beliefs, and socio-economic backgrounds. By offering an expansive curriculum and emphasizing interdisciplinary thinking, Wellesley cultivates women who are extraordinarily well-equipped for an interdependent, global age. Wellesley graduates enter the world ready to contribute in every arena.

When we began looking at Workday, we really wanted to move to a system that gave the complete suite of what we needed—finance, HCM, and student.
