COVID-19 Testing for Domestic Attendees

What happens if I test positive for COVID-19 while on-site at the event?

If you test positive for COVID-19 while at the event, please isolate yourself in your hotel room. Then contact altitude@workday.com so we can administer additional tests, as needed, and monitor your health and well-being.

Workday recommends that you follow the current CDC quarantine and isolation guidelines at that time.

  • Per the CDC, individuals may end isolation after five full days after being fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) if symptoms are improving. The CDC recommends avoiding travel until a full 10 days after the first day of symptoms. If an individual must travel on days 6 to 10, individuals should wear a well-fitting mask when they are around others for the entire duration of travel.
  • International attendees can end isolation and travel home based on their country’s COVID-19 testing policies and requirements for travel.

Partner employees and others in attendance should consult with their employer concerning arrangements.

Attendees with a positive test result within 24 hours of departure for the event are prohibited from attending.

Email altitude@workday.com to cancel your registration. If you cancel your event registration, you are also responsible for canceling flight and hotel reservations, as well as any associated cancelation fees.

This test was selected and approved for use based on its accuracy rate as well as its built-in results verification.

Test results take approximately 30 minutes.

Reference the documentation provided with the test. For a video on how to self administer your test, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MY11snF7k0

Most people will no longer test positive two weeks after contracting COVID-19. However, it’s possible to contract COVID-19 again but present as asymptomatic; therefore, it would be difficult to know if your positive test result was truly due to a previous infection or a new one. For this reason, we will be treating positive results as positive cases.

Testing will be available starting Saturday, July 16, through Sunday, July 17.

Post-event testing for international attendees will be available Tuesday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 20. Visit Hall A1  to schedule your departure testing.

  • If you are departing from the U.S. after Thursday, July 21, you will need to secure your own COVID-19 test and ensure it meets your destination country’s requirements.

With the Omicron variant, there is a decrease in the rapid antigen test’s ability to detect a case of COVID and confirm the absence of a disease. We opted to use the rapid molecular test because it uses a technology that is very similar to a lab-based PCR test.

Wearing a mask helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. Attendees are encouraged to wear a mask.

No. To ensure testing safety and privacy, we are requiring that all attendees use the COVID-19 Lucira rapid PCR test.

No. To ensure testing safety and privacy, we require all attendees to use the COVID-19 Lucira rapid PCR test. We can arrange to have your test kit delivered to your desired shipping address; please contact altitude@workday.com with that address.

We’ll send a COVID-19 Lucira rapid PCR test kit to your mailing address one week before the event. If you will not be at your mailing address provided in registration, please contact the Workday Altitude team with your desired shipping address. (Applies only to U.S.-based attendees.)
