Why work at Workday.

It’s fun to work at a company where people truly believe in what they’re doing. At Workday, we’re committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business of enterprise applications. We work hard, and we’re serious about what we do. But we like to have a good time, too. In fact, we run our company with that principle in mind every day: One of our core values is fun.

Be Happy.

If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you’ll enjoy Workday.
We know that happy employees are engaged employees. That is why we support programs and
activities designed to keep our employees happy, including:

Sports teams and clubs.

From hockey, skiing, cycling, rugby, basketball, softball, golf, soccer, snowboarding, and ultimate frisbee to philosophy, mahjong, salsa dancing, Toastmasters, and photography—we support it.

Family fun.

We host multiple events throughout the year for spouses, significant others, and children. Events may vary by office location, but the sentiment is the same: Fun and family matters.

Pool, ping pong, and foosball competitions.

With an assortment of game tables in every office, there’s always an opportunity to take a quick break to de-stress and build friendships.

Dogs @ Workday

Dogs are welcome in the Workday offices in Pleasanton, Salt Lake City, and Victoria. Every year, we host a Bring Your Dog to Workday party in our Pleasanton offices.

Cocktail Fridays.

Sponsored by individual teams and open to all employees, Cocktail Fridays are a way to unwind, celebrate accomplishments, and promote new ideas. Employees are able to build relationships in a relaxed, casual setting.

Fitness and yoga.

Workday will reimburse employees a portion of eligible fitness expenses. In Pleasanton, we also offer weekly at-work yoga classes.

Be healthy.

You are the key to our continued success. Workday is committed to the health and well-being of
you and your family. That’s why Workday provides choice and flexibility in a comprehensive benefits program.

Health benefits.

You’ll find a variety of localized benefits plans and options to meet your individual needs for medical, dental, and vision care. And Workday pays a high portion of the overall premiums.

Savings and financial benefits.

Everyone is an owner at Workday. All employees have the opportunity to buy Workday stock at a discount through our Employee Stock Purchase Program. We also offer retirement savings plans based on regional practices around the world. These include localized pre-tax benefits such as commuter programs, health plans, dependent-care spending accounts, and childcare vouchers.

The Workday Wellness Program dedicates resources to help you be healthy and productive at work.

  • Ongoing health assessments.
  • Healthy snack options.
  • Fitness program and discounted club memberships.
  • Sponsorship of community runs.
  • Bike to Workday.
  • Annual flu shots.
  • Monthly chair massages.

Give forward.

The causes that are important to you are important to Workday. We are committed to supporting local and global causes that improve the quality of life in the communities where we do business. Supporting community efforts that our employees care about helps create a healthy workplace, happy customers, and a better world.

Success for Workday is not only measured in dollars, but also in how we operate in our community and the environment. The Workday Green Team sponsors green initiatives throughout the company, including composting, reducing energy from our data centers, recycling end-of-life equipment, and general awareness of our environmental footprint in every location.

Workday Foundation.

The Workday Foundation is committed to making a positive difference in our communities and supporting causes that are important to Workday employees. We invest in forward-thinking ideas that will have a transformative impact on the communities where we live and work.

Impact grants.

The Workday Foundation makes investments in innovative organizations led by pioneers. Our mission is to transform lives by creating career pathways that unleash human potential. We look for organizations that are using innovative solutions to break the cycle of poverty by creating lasting economic security through meaningful employment. Workday grants involve significant dollars, potential multiyear commitments, employee involvement, and tight collaboration with grantees.

Giving and Doing program.

Workday employees around the globe run, walk, ride, paddle, mentor, advise, feed, read, develop, serve on boards, and even grow mustaches for favorite causes.

To further encourage philanthropy, Workday matches employees’ charitable donations to qualified organizations up to $1,000 per year. The Workday Giving and Doing program provides $500 grants to organizations where our employees have volunteered 25 hours of their personal time.

Community impact.

Workday encourages employees to volunteer. By doing so, we help organizations that are doing amazing things in our local and global communities to have an even greater impact. Additionally, when a disaster happens and people want to pitch in, the Workday Foundation creates meaningful ways to contribute through donations of dollars, time, or technology.
