Ser Yong is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in leadership, commercial, business management, and human capital management systems. As a member of ACMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant), CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant), and MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants), he possesses a comprehensive understanding of financial management and business practices.
An innovative thinker, Ser Yong has actively contributed to the digital transformation of various organisations he has worked with. His expertise in implementing technological solutions such as Workday has increased efficiency and productivity, resulting in tangible business benefits. Through his involvement in global business services, he has effectively streamlined operations and enhanced processes to meet the demands of an interconnected world.
With his strong background in finance and accounting, combined with his expertise in business operations, Ser Yong has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic capabilities throughout his career. He consistently upholds high ethical standards and best practices, making him a trusted and respected professional in the field.
Pauline is the Vice President, Performance, Remuneration and HR Systems at NS BlueScope, a joint venture enterprise between BlueScope and Nippon Steel of Japan, which makes and supplies premium coated and painted steel products and solutions.
She is responsible for performance management, remuneration strategies, salary and compensation planning, people insights, governance and compliance as well as delivering people capabilities through technology transformation. She supports the activities in the ASEAN region. She started her career at NS BlueScope as a Regional Remuneration Specialist in 2015 and is now leading a team of 3, helping others grow in the organisation.
Prior to NS BlueScope, she was the Sr Manager, Compensation & Benefits with DHL Global Forwarding, responsible for country C&B efforts, streamlining HR processes as well as championing business improvement processes.
Pauline loves coffee and enjoys reading. She is a good listener, passionate about data which led her to pursue a career that has to deal with lots of data.
