Workday and University of Maryland Global Campus

A pioneer in adult and distance education since 1947, UMGC strives to harness the power of learning science and technology to educate its students. Today, the university offers undergraduate and graduate programmes as well as support services to students in Maryland and around the world.

UMGC has been sending academic staff overseas to teach active-duty military personnel in Europe (since 1949) and Asia (since 1956), and currently operates online and on U.S. military installations in more than 20 countries.

A member institution of the University System of Maryland, UMGC is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

With Workday, the focus is on configuration as opposed to customisations, providing us flexibility and resulting in a cost-effective manner to approach making policy or system changes.
