• Use pre-defined workflow processes. Workday delivers over 100 pre-defined business process definitions, accelerating the implementation process and providing a starting point for any additional configuration.
• Re-configure processes whenever and wherever needed. Add or remove steps within a predefined process without writing any code. Any process can be applied to the entire enterprise or to specific organizations within an enterprise, allowing each to automate each business process based on how they operate.
• Maintain rules, roles, and policy documents. Conditional rules and routing, valid actions and roles, configurable approvals, and the ability to attach documents describing corporate policy all help ensure proper routing of each step of a business process.
• Approvals and notifications in the right place at the right time. Users who fill the roles involved in a business process will see related information on their Workday homepages (e.g. Inbox Worklet) or process approvals and "to-dos" from their iPhones. Users can set up notifications to receive email messages alerting them to actions they should take or work that has happened. Workday also supports inbox delegation to one or multiple delegates.
• Report on process status. The Business Process Framework knows the status of all ongoing work and process details for all completed work. It further enables reports that provide visibility into what processes are still awaiting action and those that are complete across the organization.
