Professional Services Ecosystem

The Workday professional services ecosystem consists of Workday Professional Services, partner firms, and large system integrators. This group of highly trained and experienced resources collaborates across the ecosystem in order to consistently and successfully deploy Workday to all customers. To facilitate collaboration, Workday provides:

• A proven deployment methodology as the required framework for all Workday deployments
• A shared library of deployment tools and templates
• Standardized Delivery Assurance checkpoints for all Workday deployments
• Knowledge groups and weekly Q&A sessions to troubleshoot issues and share information
• Integrated Workday Update training on new features and functionality

Proven Deployment Methodology

All Workday deployments follow the Workday Accelerated Deployment Methodology. This proven, rapid methodology is based on years of experience deploying our products and was built specifically for our SaaS-based delivery model. Consisting of five stages, each stage has the following key objectives:

• Plan Stage – Set the overall project direction and administration while setting customer expectations
• Architect Stage – Analyze customer requirements and business processes by leveraging Workday's optimized configurations as a starting point
• Configure & Prototype Stage – Provide an iterative approach to configuring Workday based on the customer's needs
• Test Stage – Validate configuration decisions and system and user readiness
• Deploy Stage – Effectively transition customer to Production Support and Optimization Services

Delivery Assurance

Delivery Assurance is an organization within Workday responsible for ensuring all Workday deployments are delivered with the highest level of quality. The team is comprised of deployment and product experts with vast experience in Workday and project management. Mandatory Delivery Assurance checkpoints are integrated into the Workday Accelerated Deployment Methodology with the objective to uncover any potential issues early in a project while mitigating any future risks.

To ensure customers are best prepared for their Workday deployment, recommended training including On Demand training sessions are embedded into the Workday Accelerated Deployment Methodology. As defined in the methodology, customer resources are able to better prepare for critical deployment activities by viewing pre-recorded on demand training.
