Services Procurement

Designed to manage and streamline the unique processes associated with the purchase of services, Workday Procurement includes everything from contingent labor to contract services. Used in conjunction with Workday Human Capital Management and Workday Financial Management, Workday Procurement supports the entire requisition-to-pay process for contingent labor and services.

Built the way businesses work

Traditional procurement solutions focus on managing and accounting for bills of materials and inventory replenishment, but do not match the reality of today’s service-based economy. From business process outsourcing (BPO) and contract manufacturing on one end of the services spectrum to contract labor and professional services on the other, procurement of services has become a new driver of processes and policies for today’s business.

Workday Services Procurement delivers:

  • Seamless Requisition to Pay Workflow. Support for entire workflow—from HCM position requisitions through sourcing, on-boarding and paying for contract labor. Using Workday’s embedded Business Process Framework, Workday Services Procurement includes non-traditional roles—such as a hiring manager—in the workflow routings and approvals for services procurement.
  • Manage contingent labor. Reports, analytics and controls at the intersection of HCM and procurement including: contract spend by organization, contractor roster with contract end dates by organization, and tenure reporting for contract workers.
  • Project and Milestone based Services. Many services engagements involve multiple contractors that consume based on activities and tasks. Track and pay for these milestones as they are completed and internally approved.
