Requisitions

Workday Employee Requisitions provides employees the ability to initiate, track and manage requisitions via a simplified, self-service dashboard. Accounting policy and purchasing controls are automatically applied, so management doesn’t have to worry about non-compliance and employees don’t have to worry about the overhead of knowing the accounting details.

Simplifying employee requisitions

The increase in employee responsibility for requisitions represents a fundamental shift in purchasing. Professional buyers are still responsible for overall company procurement, but more and more purchasing has been decentralized to employees across the organization, particularly for goods and services specific to that employee or to that employee’s workgroup. Whether a new cell phone or contract labor, end users of an enterprise application require efficient creation and tracking of requisitions.

Via a centralized console, Workday provides the requisition capabilities employees need:

  • Efficient desktop purchasing. Workers have direct access to goods catalogs, project and deliverable services, and contingent and contract labor services, all from a single self-service console.
  • Consolidated reporting. All requisition information is aggregated and available to employees and managers, providing a full view of self-service requisition activity and status of these requisitions.
  • Desktop receiving. Workers can receive and match goods and services from their desktop, while automatically complying with predefined company policies.
  • Request a supplier. Initiate new supplier request workflow via Employee Requisitioning. Requests are automatically routed based on the company’s routings and approval rules.
