Workday Appoints Jeff Pulver Vice President of Marketing and Business Development

Building the world’s next great technology brand

WALNUT CREEK, CALIF. – May 9, 2007 – Workday™, Inc., a new generation of on-demand enterprise solutions for managing today’s dynamic, global businesses, today announced the appointment of Jeff Pulver to the newly created role of vice president, marketing and business development. Jeff will lead Workday’s branding, corporate and product marketing, communications, and business alliances.

“Jeff brings an unparalleled set of skills and experience to Workday,” said Dave Duffield, CEO and co-founder of Workday. He brings a deep understanding of branding and marketing in the Web 2.0 world, combined with a passion for customer success and the core values that are so important to building a world-class company.

Most recently, Jeff led the marketing efforts for Rearden Commerce, establishing the company’s brand as one of the major up-and-coming Web 2.0 players, building sales opportunities and awareness, and helping take Rearden from its initial launch to more than 300 customers in just two years.

“Jeff will be a huge catalyst to building our brand and reaching out to customers and partners worldwide,” said Aneel Bhusri, Workday president and co-founder. “We are excited to have him join our team.”

Previously, Jeff served as vice president, worldwide marketing at Siebel Systems, leading a 130 person organization covering brand management, advertising, public relations, marketing communications, demand generation, internal communications and sales development. He led the company’s efforts in launching Siebel's CRM OnDemand. During his tenure, the Siebel marketing team received numerous awards, including IDC’s Best Practices and the ITSMA Marketing Excellence Award for Marketing Accountability. Jeff has been recognized as one of B2B Magazine’s Top Marketers.

Jeff’s career includes marketing leadership positions at a number of enterprise software startups. Previously, he led key organizations at PeopleSoft including global marketing and business development. He started his career in sales at IBM.
