PLEASANTON, CALIF. – April 28, 2010 – Workday, Inc., the leader in enterprise-class SaaS-based Human Resources (HR), Financial and Payroll solutions, today announced that Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ:SVVS), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, is live on Workday Human Capital Management (HCM). More than 2,200 Savvis employees and managers are using Workday to manage their HR operations.

What’s New

• Savvis had outgrown the legacy service bureau-based HR application it had been using for the past four years. The system had proven difficult to use, time consuming and expensive to customize, and employees had not broadly adopted it for managing the business – providing little value to managers and increasing the burden on the HR staff.
• Savvis needed a solution with an intuitive user experience that helped managers get their work done day-to-day, while supporting efficient and consistent HR processes.
• The company also needed an HR system that was flexible enough to support hundreds of supervisory organizations, and that could be configured to support unique business processes and regulatory requirements for all the countries in which it does business.
• In just 120 days, Savvis went live with Workday HCM.
• Approximately 2,200 Savvis employees and managers across 14 countries now use Workday.
• With Workday, the Savvis HR team can configure business processes in just minutes, without requiring IT support. This same task proved virtually impossible in the previous application.
• Workday uses Savvis facilities to host one of its datacenters.
