Workday's Fifth Annual Customer Event to take place in Las Vegas, October 24-27
PLEASANTON, CA – July 26, 2011 – Workday, Inc. today announced that Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger, Captain of what has been dubbed the "Miracle on the Hudson," will give the second day keynote address at the annual Workday Rising customer event. Captain Sullenberger is the heroic pilot who masterfully landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River and saved the lives of 155 people. The opening day keynotes will be delivered by Workday Co-Founders and CEOs Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri, and Workday President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Stankey.
Workday Rising 2011 is the company's fifth annual gathering of Workday customers, partner sponsors, prospective customers, and employees coming together to learn, collaborate, and network. It is Workday's largest customer event of the year, with overwhelming support from Workday's customer base of more than 210 companies. The event is expected to draw more than 1,100 attendees, and will take place at the ARIA Resort in Las Vegas from October 24-27.
Workday Rising 2011 Highlights
Workday Rising 2011 includes 25 percent more sessions than last year – including a new track dedicated to higher education and public sector, as well as a new track for executive-level Workday users. Featured tracks include: Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Financial and Spend Management, and Technology. The session formats include product demonstrations, roundtable forums, user groups, training sessions, and hands-on labs.
