At Workday, we believe in sharing success with the communities in which we live and work. Beyond business, we encourage our employees to volunteer and give back.
Here are a few or the ways Workday supports the interests of our employees and the community:
In an effort to recognize the activities and causes that have special meaning for our company, employees, customers, and partners, Workday dedicates resources to support two special programs:
1) Workday in Action: An annual cause the company chooses to sponsor and support. In 2009, we ran, walked, and raised funds for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society.
2) Individuals in Action: Fundraising matches or gifts to non-profit programs or organizations in which our employees are personally involved.
Workday employees support sustainability as a critical success factor of business today. We've formed an organically grown Green Team that looks for opportunities to minimize our footprint. We purchase Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to offset the electricity consumption of our offices and data centers. We recycle where possible, have a blog dedicated to environmental advice and resources, and our headquarters building is LEED certified. Our Green Commitment
Maddie's Fund was founded by Dave and Cheryl Duffield to support the creation of a no-kill nation for companion animals. Each year, Maddie's Fund gives Workday employees the opportunity to nominate their favorite animal charities for special grants. www.maddiesfund.org
Workday has been the proud sponsor of the Devil Mountain Run for four years "running." This 5K and 10K event, the biggest race event in the East Bay, benefits the Children's Hospital of Oakland.
Workday delivers Human Resource, Payroll, Financial, and Worker Spend Management solutions for mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies.
