POS-00689 - Product Manager - Payroll - Public Sector


Location: Pleasanton, CA


Workday is looking for someone to help drive the requirements and design of our Public Sector Payroll features. You will be responsible for understanding public sector business requirements, identifying the gaps in Workday's current functionality, develop a plan for closing those gaps and determine how best to represent these requirements in Workday.


Responsibilities/Experience/Skills/Education:

  • Work closely with developers and QA to ensure the product you intended to have built actually gets built.

  • Research, summarize, and prioritize public sector requirements.

  • Experience writing detailed functional design documents.

  • 5+ years experience as a payroll product manager or consultant.

  • 5+ years public sector enterprise applications experience.

  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments.

  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.

  • Review, comment, follow-up, and target bug and enhancement requests.

  • Be the product expert point of contact for implementation consultants, support desk, documentation, sales support, marketing, and product strategy.
